Research Topics

The theme of our laboratory is computational analysis of 'metabolism', and we develop necessary databases and software programs by ourselves.  Most of our research is conducted in collaboation with wet-experiment laboratories such as RIKEN Plant Science Center, and Institute of Advanced Biosciences, Keio University.  We also focus on topological analysis of biological networks.

We develop the following metabolome databases in Japan.

• Flavonoid and Crude Drug Database with NAIST and Toyama Univ
• MassBank  with Keio Univ and NAIST (supported by JST-BIRD)
• LipidBank  with Japanese Conference of the Biochemistry of Lipid (JCBL)
• PRIME with RIKEN Plant Science Center

The original address is Kashiwa Campus, The University of Tokyo. We rent a laboratory space inside the AIST Building in Odaiba (7th floor), which is the official workspace for the year 2009.

東大の新領域創成科学研究科（柏キャンパス）が所属先ですが、東大と産総研の連携制度を利用し、ラボ自体はお台場にあります。ラボメンバーはお台場に常駐しています。
